Over the last two decades, Premier Commercial Properties has helped hundreds of businesses find, buy, sell, and lease properties across the Twin Cities. It includes two father-and-son teams and has built a reputation as the trusted broker in the north metro area.
In 2000, Premier Commercial Properties founders Marty Fisher and Rod Lee worked together at a residential real estate company. Though the brokerage primarily focused on residential properties, Marty and Rod were the company’s commercial real estate experts. Together with a third business partner, they decided to break away from the residential company and form their own commercial real estate brokerage, Premier Commercial Properties.
They set up shop out of leased space on Hanson Boulevard in Coon Rapids, then bought their own building in Ramsey on Highway 10. Sadly, the property suffered a gas leak in 2004 and the building exploded. Marty and Rod invested in 6 acres of land next to the Slumberland on Highway 10 and built four office condos. They used one condo as the Premier office and sold the rest.
Since 2004, Premier Commercial Properties has grown to be Anoka County’s trusted experts in the local market. Often employing as many as 10 agents, Premier has expanded its offerings to include property management in addition to buying, selling, and leasing properties for use or development. The Premier team has also developed several properties in Anoka County itself, including medical office, retail, and industrial properties.
Premier Commercial Properties eventually outgrew its office condo. In 2018, the brokerage bought and moved into its current building on Coon Rapids Boulevard in Coon Rapids. The current team includes eight brokers, two property managers, and an office manager. Together, they oversee more than a million square feet across 40 buildings.
