Retired realtor Marie McCallum knew one thing when it was time to sell her parcel of raw land in Nowthen, Minnesota: she did not want to go it alone. After seeing a Premier Commercial Properties sign on the highway and asking her attorney for a referral to a good commercial realtor, she knew she had to work with Marty Fisher.
Selling the Last 5.6 Acres of a Long-Held Parcel
Ms. McCallum had owned the piece of raw land since the 1980s, when it had been part of a larger parcel. The other 10 acres had been sold off years ago, and now, it was finally time to sell the last remaining bit of land.
The raw land was zoned commercial and had a great location on Highway 47 in Nowthen. It was heavily wooded, with wetlands that had grown and receded over the years. One of the first things Marty suggested to Ms. McCallum was to get an undated wetland delineation done on the property. The current one had been done in the 1980s, and the conditions on the property had changed. Investing in a new delineation before putting the property up for sale meant Ms. McCallum could save time waiting for the buyer to have the wetlands delineated during the negotiation process.
Marty put the property went on the market, and Ms. McCallum was shocked to get a call from him a few days later with multiple potential buyers. After several viewings of the property, a buyer put in a serious offer, which Ms. McCallum accepted under Marty’s guidance. The deal closed in spring 2021 after the city and state completed their requirements for the sale.
“I can’t say enough great things about him.”
Marty’s professionalism, friendly and warm demeanor, and real estate expertise impressed Ms. McCallum from listing to close. “I can’t say enough great things about Marty,” she shared. “I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who needs to sell a property, and I’ll work with him again when the time comes.”
